What more can we say?  Eto'o, arguably the greatest the African striker of all time, or perhaps Mr Didier Drogba?  You decide!  A stunning football shirt from Puma, we love that lion to the front.  A great collectors item!

Carlisle United Away shirt, Italian beauty from Fila!

We love these!  Very nicely designed and the shirt feels amazing quality, which begs the question, what happened to Fila and why do we not see more Fila made football shirts?

Back in the day (mid 90's), Fila football boots were once all the rage, sporting cool Italian design, not to mention being promoted by some of the world's top footballers.  However, this brand from the past seemingly vanished, much to our upset.  Well, it didn't exactly vanish, more liked lurked in the shadows of sports giants such as Adidas, Puma, Umbro, Kappa, etc.  This shirt proves they still have the style and designers to produce top quality goods, and in our opinion, is far nicer and better quality than a lot of the current shirts made by the big boys.

So we beg, more like this please Fila!  You can make my clubs shirts any time (NUFC!), thanks!

Newcastle United Away 1988 - Old School Classic!

OK, this may be a slightly biased vote from us at DOTP, being geordie!  Nevertheless, they just don't make them like this anymore, with a single pop button to the collar, this just oozed 80's design.

On another note, these old shirts from the Toon Army are particularly attractive given that the new shirts, despite being nicely designed, sport a hideous 'Wonga' sponsor across the front.  We particularly like the new grey away shirt from the Toon for season 2014/15, a bit of a throwback to the grey away shirt that Gazza and co wore, but the problem is the Wonga.  Tip, don't spent your Wonga on the new one's, spend it on a vintage beauty like this that will forever hold its value and also make you stand out on matchday.

If you choose to invest in this shirt, we would also recommend that you invest in an 80's style haircut; a Chris Waddle mullet with these green and yellow stripes would be, in a word, magic.

Vintage France Away Shirt Mexico World Cup 86

A classic vintage French national shirt, and ultra rare.  These shirts are very difficult to obtain anywhere, particularly in this excellent condition.  The home shirt can be bought fairly easily, but this away really is an exceptionally rare football shirt if there ever was one.  The shirt was worn at the Mexico World Cup 1986, where France reached the Semi-Finals only to be beaten 2-0 by West Germany.  They did win the 3rd place spot though with a 4-2 victory over Belgium.  You can almost smell the legends who wore this shirt...Papin, Platini, Tigana, Fernandez...an all time classic and a must have shirt for the collectors!  This will probably end up as our shirt of the year, it really is that impressive.

Frank Le Boeuf!

Never one of my favourite players but nevertheless, a Premier League legend.  Desailly and Frank formed a formidable partnership in the heart of the Chelsea defence and were the backbone to future success.  I think Boeuf means beef in French.....

The ODD one out, and the longest headed goal of all time...

OK, we've never been sure on shirts that are literally covered in sponsors, but for whatever reason, this really works for us!

ODD Grenland, now ODD BK, are a Norwegain side from Skien, located in the district of Grenland.  Here's a fact for you (may have been pinched from Wikipedia!  Interesting though nevertheless!):  On 25th September 2011 ODD player Jone Samuelsen scored what is allegedly the longest headed goal of all time, from an astonishing 58.13 metres, that is, according to the Norwegian Police.  What is more strange - a headed goal from 58.13 metres, or the fact that the distance was measured by the police?  Bizarre Scandinavian behaviour, I mean, was the goal a crime?

Moving on to the shirt itself, as worn by the good looking chap in the photograph.  A highly unusual feature is the teams club badge, have you ever seen one smaller?  The sponsors were obviously not so subtle about the size of their company logo's...

Anyway, a fascinating shirt and a nice one for anyone's collection.

Newcastle Third Shirt 2012/2013

A love it or hate it shirt....either way, Newcastle's fairly successful UEFA Cup spell from this season featured this shirt.  Despite being released as a third shirt, the club strangely decided to use it predominantly for the European campaign.  Perhaps, like the fans, they also believe the burgundy away shirt was cursed?  Anyway, we have a few of these in stock, all with almost 50% off the RRP price of £44.99.

Due to the colour, these shirts are for sure future collectors items, and would also be handy to wear if riding a bike at night...
